A welcome from the chairperson
Africa stands at a defining moment in its development journey.
Across the continent, women are leading businesses, shaping institutions, advancing innovation, transforming communities and influencing the policies and decisions that will define our shared future. Yet, despite this progress, too many women continue to face barriers to opportunity, leadership, economic participation, skills, technology and meaningful inclusion. The Global Women Leadership Summit 2026 is convened at this important moment with a clear purpose: to bring together leaders, ideas, opportunities and partnerships that can accelerate meaningful and lasting change.
Taking place in Nairobi, the Summit will convene women leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, professionals, educators, innovators, development partners, civil society leaders and changemakers from across Africa and beyond.
It is designed as a platform for connection, collaboration and action, where ideas become partnerships, partnerships become opportunities, and opportunities translate into measurable impact.
The Summit is about determining where we go next and ensuring that women are at the table, in the room, and at the forefront of shaping that future.
